Wear rings together with wear plates are the most essential wear components of the S-valve transfer system in the concrete pumps. That element is co-working in pair with a wear plate and should be treated as a front of the S-valve. They are mounted on the outlet side of the S-valve, in some cases by means of assembly collar and are shifted togehter with the S-valve on the wearing front-facing of the wear plate.
In all the concrete pumps there are typically used two kinds of wear rings:
- monolithic version made out of the high-alloyed steel;
- hardfaced version with the front-face and the internal through-hole reinforced by hardfacing
It is highly recomended that the wear rings should be working in full tightness with the wear plate. So that it’s condition has to be strictly monitored.
