Compensating rings are steel supoporting rings used for the assembly purpose of the wear rings. It’s main task is to provide a continuous tightness between wear ring and wear plate. They are also assembled as a protection against deformation of the S-valve face-edge. As a steel rings are most commonly used in the italian concrete pumps – such as CIFA and SERMAC. In concrete pumps of all other brands (Putzmeister, Schwing, Evedigm, Waitzinger, Reich) the rubber pressure rings are used equivalently. The pressure rings and compensating rings are always exchanged together with wear rings.
