Bandsawing is a technological process of machining involving the separation of elements by scraping the material by a saw with a hard toothed edge. Unwanted material is removed with a move of the metal saw with sharpened teeth.
Band sawing machines are designed for cutting:
- rods,
- pipes,
- structurals,
- profiles and so on.
Elements may be made of different materials:
- steel,
- aluminum,
- plastics.
In our machine park we use Pegas-Gonda and Bomar saws. The maximum possible cross-cut on the l Pegas SHI 460 machine are: diameter D = 460 for shafts, H = 460 x B = 600 for rectangular profiles and profiles. Thanks to very high profile of the saw blade the machine provides, due to the high rigidity of the band, fully perpendicular and uniform cut. Automatic control of parameters in Pegas band sawing machine ensures high accuracy and repeatability of the process. The BOMAR STG 240 band saw is able to cut to the maximum round bar diameter D = 240, and the rectangular cross-sectional profile H = 130 x B=320.
Both for Pegas cutters and Bomar saws located in our factory are able to cut profiles or pipes at an angle, making it easier to prepare the elements of the production of steel structures.
