The history of the Polmix-Ast Company goes back to the year 1989 when a limited liability company POLMIX was founded by Mr. Andrzej Stasiewski with the premises located on Świętokrzyska Street in Gdańsk. Since the very beginning the company has been focused on the service & maintenance operations for concrete pumping industry.
In the 1994 the company was transformed into the private proprietorship company: Technical Services Company POLMIX-AST with a sole ownership kept by Mr. Andrzej Stasiewski. The premises was relocated to No. 48 Sienna Street in Gdańsk. After the period of thorough overhauls and adjustments executed in the premises’ buildings the company has been operating on the total area of 800 sq. meters of production and service halls. Since the 1997 the company started to develop not only the service operations and activities for concrete pumping machinery. But also the production infrastructure for machining technology. In the following years the machining workshop has been expanded by the purchase of conventional lathes, milling machinery, flat grinding machines, band saws.
In the 2003 a new expansion-project was introduced in the company – the construction of the 550 sq. meter assembly workshop. The new building, finished in 2004, thanks to it’s spacious entrance gates serves as a service workshop and assembly hall. Within the year 2005 the outer yards of the company were upgraded for service purposes. During next years the company sucesfully transformed and developed the manufacturing infrastructure and expanded the handling equipment. In 2006 Polmix-Ast Company has initiated a cooperation with the South-Korean concrete pump producer – EVERDIGM Corp. – formerly Hanwoo, becoming a sole dealer of EVERDIGM – Concrete Pump Division for Poland.B
In 2009 another stage of development of the company was initiated by the succession of the company’s assets for the next generation of the Stasiewski family – Mr. Maciej Stasiewski became a sole owner of the company. Within the years 2010 – 2011 a thorough reconstruction and modernization of the warehouse facility was held, which helped to create an independent warehose with a total area of 250 sq m. In these years POLMIX-AST carried out the adaptation and preparations of the production halls of the company for installation of subsequent heavy machine tools.
Since 2010, machining infrastructure systematically expanded by purchases of following machine tools:
- grinding machine JOTES SPD40,
- cylindrical grinding machine,
- CNC lathes Gildemeister type CTX,
- milling machine – heavy type TOS FGS,
- heavy duty RYAZAN,
- flat bed boring/milling machine TOS Varnsdorf,
- slotting machine STANKO 430,
- another CNC lathe – CTX 500,
- band saw cutter – PEGAS SHI430.
Machine tools, lathes as well as milling machines, which were operated on production were modernised and equipped with the linear measurement HEIDENHAIN system. In the long term run an investment development of the company is aimed at independent and self-conducting specialized production of machine parts and components as well as spare parts for concrete pumps.
In 2012 Polmix-Ast Company has implemented the Quality Management System based on ISO 9001, which is succesfully maintained, developed and audited. Also in 2012 Company has obtained a status of the authorised factory of Bureau for Transportation Technical Supervision (TDT) in the scope of repairs, modernisations of concrete pumps. Among the activities under the supervision of TDT Inspection POLMIX-AST company is preparing, repairing concrete pumps for the periodic annually held, inspections.
